This site lies in Colestine Valley on a wooded ridge just south of Ashland, Oregon. The Stott Residence is a low-maintenance, low-impact, climate-responsive which is reflective of the owners' spiritual discipline.

Built with earth from the site, local timber, passive solar technologies, and non-toxic materials, the structure is designed for durability, comfort, and gentle aging. A solar-oriented south view wall forms a crescent shape overlooking Mount Shasta. The north wall is built of rammed earth, twenty-four inches thick, insulating the and creating an unsurpassed feeling of integration with the land.
