Wheelwright Center

Muir Beach, California - 1979

Located on the grounds of the Green Gulch Zen Center, the Wheelwright center is an addition to an existing ranch house structure.  The building connects to the existing building via a series of raised, covered walkways.  Similarly to the other buildings designed at the Zen Center, simple Japanese forms and complex joinery were used throughout.  The building serves as a gathering space for lectures.
